ResumeSync AB ("ResumeSync", "we", "us") provides tools that help applicants generate tailored, ATS-safe resumes and related documents. We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with GDPR and other applicable laws.

What we collect

  • Account & Billing: name, email, password hash, plan, billing details (handled by Stripe).
  • Content you provide: LinkedIn data export files, resumes/CVs, job descriptions, profile fields, generated documents, feedback.
  • Usage & device: app interactions, approximate region, technical logs (for reliability and security).
  • Support: messages you send to us.

    • How we use data (lawful bases)

  • Provide the service (contract): import, parse, generate and deliver application materials you request.
  • Improve & secure (legitimate interests): troubleshoot, prevent abuse, analyze anonymized usage.
  • Communicate (legitimate interests/consent): service emails, updates. Marketing only with consent where required.
  • Billing & compliance (legal obligation/contract): payment processing, accounting, record-keeping.

    • Cookies

    We use strictly necessary cookies for login/session. With consent, we may use analytics cookies to improve product quality. See our [Cookie Policy](/legal/cookies).

    Payment processing

    We never store full card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe as an independent controller. See Stripe's privacy notice.

    Data retention

  • Active customers: retain profile and generated docs while your account remains active.
  • Upon deletion request or account closure: we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where law requires retention (e.g., invoices).

    • International transfers

    We may process data in the EU and other locations where our subprocessors operate. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards.

    Sub-processors

    We use trusted providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database/auth/storage), Stripe (payments), Anthropic/OpenAI (model inference). The list may change; material changes will be noted here.

    Your rights (GDPR)

    You can access, correct, export, delete, or object to processing. To exercise rights, contact hello@resumesync.app. You may also complain to your local authority (e.g., IMY in Sweden).

    Children

    ResumeSync is not directed to children under 16. Do not submit children's data.

    Security

    See our [Security Overview](/legal/security). No method is 100% secure, but we apply strong, reasonable safeguards.

    Changes

    We will post any privacy changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes may be notified via email.
